Find your STEM passion at an NYSF STEM Hub
The National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) STEM Hubs are designed to give students a broader understanding of the diverse study and career options available in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and to encourage continued studies in these fields.
In 2024, the NYSF will run four STEM Hubs throughout the year:
- Perth – Week of 8 April
- Adelaide – Week of 15 April
- Melbourne – Week of 1 July
- Sydney/Newcastle – Week of 15 July
What is a STEM Hub?
A STEM Hub is a non-residential STEM experience where you can connect with STEM pathways and careers around Australia.
Participants have the opportunity to:
- participate in tours of science and technology facilities,
- learn about cutting-edge research,
- engage with industry partners and research providers,
- learn about university, training and STEM career pathways,
- mix with other like-minded students from all over Australia, and
- attended social activities.
If you are a current Year 12 student in Australia with an interest in STEM we welcome you to the NYSF STEM Hubs!
Early registration will be available to alumni of the NYSF Year 12 Program before general registration, which will be open to all Year 12 students in Australia.
Registration will open for STEM Hubs in Adelaide and Perth in early March.
Please check back later for registration details for Melbourne and Sydney/Newcastle.
Tickets for individual STEM visits will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Ticket opening will be advised in advance to all those who have registered and paid to attend a STEM Hub.
Participants will be supervised by Student Staff Leaders, Rotary volunteers, and members of the NYSF Corporate Team.
The program fee will include the STEM visits and all programmed activities. Each NYSF STEM Hub is a non-residential program, and transport and accommodation are not included in the program fee.
