Participants were thrilled to test out a race car that was entirely engineered and built by students from the University of Newcastle.

When asked about their favourite parts of the visit, one student said, “Participating in practical experiments was also a large part of our visit, a personal favourite of mine being the tasting of zooper doopers frozen in liquid nitrogen!

“Friendships were instantly created as we bonded over our passions for STEM and learnt about the lives of students across the state. We are all looking forward to encountering each other again in the future.”

With a trip through campus featuring tours, mathematics and statistic workshops, lab tours, and mathematics relays, the participants were excited to finish their final year of school and head towards university.
