Congratulations to Margaret Northcote, NYSF Rotary District Chair D9520 from South Australia, who was the 2019 recipient of the Bruce and Lois Sharp Award.
“Margaret has worked tirelessly as an NYSF District Chair for many years,” said NYSF CEO Dr Damien Pearce. “And along with her co-DCs in South Australia, has responded positively to the incremental changes we have been making to the program, providing feedback at every step.”

Bruce Sharp was a member of the Rotary Club of Ginninderra in the ACT, and was District Governor of D9710 in 1991-92. Bruce and his wife Lois strongly supported NYSF – at club, district and national levels for over 20 years – including hosting countless numbers of NYSF students during the home hospitality day during the program.
In 2011, the Rotary Club of Ginninderra established the award to recognise Bruce and Lois’s contribution to NYSF. The Award in turn recognises Rotarians and their partners who have made a significant contribution to the NYSF program.
