Through Scienceability, Siân is challenging ideas of who can engage with science

Congratulations to NYSF team member, Siân Keys, who has been nominated as one of four finalists for the ACT Young Australian of the Year for 2018.

Sian is our Senior Programs Officer, focused on to pulling together lab visits and site tours, engaging key speakers, and developing content for our Year 12 Program. She also led the delivery of the new NYSF STEM Explorer Program in South Australia in July this year.

Well done to Siân on this recognition of being nominated for her contribution to the community through her work launching Scienceability, Australia’s first science program run for and by people with intellectual disabilities. Through Scienceability, Siân is challenging ideas of who can engage with science.
