NYSF/NSSS History
The National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) has a long history having been established in 1983, initially as the National Science Summer School (NSSS) Inc. First founded and developed by Rotarians, the initial aim was to encourage high school science students to come to Canberra to study. Over the years, the NYSF has continued to evolve and grow, although the flagship NYSF Year 12 Program, now with a focus on showing young people the range of study and career opportunities in STEM fields, has run continually for the now 35 plus years of operation.
