The 2012 National Science Teachers Summer School

The 2012 National Science Teachers Summer School (NSTSS) will be held on the campus of The Australian National University, Canberra from Sunday 8th January to Saturday 14th January 2012.

The NSTSS is made possible through the collaboration of The Australian National University (ANU), the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF), the Australian Science Teachers Association (ASTA) and the University of Canberra (UC). It is designed to provide teachers of science unique experiences in science and science education in order to stimulate their passion for science and mathematics and, in turn, enhance their teaching of science to their students.

Teachers, who are at least teaching science half time in their school, are eligible to apply on the application form available from the ASTA website www.asta.edu.au. A draft program is also available on the website.

The NSTSS will pay for economy airfares to and from Canberra, six nights accommodation on the ANU campus, all excursion travel and most meals whilst on the NSTSS. Successful applicants will be asked to contribute $200 + GST to the program. This amount is fully tax deductible.

Applications close on Friday 30th September 2011. Successful applicants will be notified by email by Friday 21st October 2011.
