Salvatore (Turi) LaSpina says :-

As part of the Einstein group, it is only natural that I have a keen interest in physics and the ‘real’ world. I am Salvatore LaSpina of Melbourne, Victoria, and I was fortunate enough to have been selected for the NYSF in January of 2002. I am beginning year 12, and I hope to enter the Air Force as a pilot and aerospace engineer after my schooling is complete. I have a passion for robotics, and it is my intention to pursue this interest of mine at University and beyond. The NYSF has certainly given me a much clearer understanding of university; before going to Canberra I had no idea what the life of an undergraduate consisted of. The NYSF has shown me that the world of scientific research is very broad, very detailed and perhaps not my 'cup of tea', but I now know that my interest in physics and space is something I can be very proud of.
